Evelyn-I am sorry to be looking for information and have little to offer. My father also had dysphagia(both very slow peristalsis as well as a puch immediately over his larnyx) and I do also. They wanted to put a feeding tube into his stomach to avoid aspirational pneumonia but he was 86 and repeatedly refused. I am 61 and am basicaly looking for ways to avoid constant infections in the pouch over my larnyx due to my draining sinuses, food caught, etc; What treatments are possible?
