My youngest had conjunctivitis for YEARS (red-rimmed eyes that itched a lot) and was treated by our eye doctor for years. He is now 25 and for first time in his life, free of it. Had it from about kindergarten till now. No surgery. He had to lay a warm, damp cloth over eyes to get crusting off, then use a special eye ointment nightly! So it took years for it to go away, but we are now happy. Hoping it doesn't return of course. Write me anytime by e-mail if you like.
