Hi! I visited the optometrist last week for my annual eye examination. The next day I woke up with red eyes. I ignored the condition thinking that it may be a reaction to the drops that were put in during the examination. The day after my eyes were even redder and had discharge. I visited my regular Dr. and was told that I have conjunctivitis. I was treated for Conj. for three days and since the redness didn't go away was referred to an Opthalmologist. I was diagnosed with biolateral iritis. I have been doing some reading on the condition and have realized that it may take long for the cause to this condition to be found and further that treatment can cause side effects such as glaucoma and cataracts. I am anxiously awaiting my next visit to the Dr. and to find out if any of the test for the cause of this can be found over the next weeks or months. I am wondering if anyone has had it in both eyes and how they have dealt with the condition, mostly emotionally. I am worried after reading various research articles that stress on the seriousness of this condition. Thanks for reading.
