Does anyone wake up nearly every morning with a headache to some degree? I have been plagued with migraines and headaches for years, but it seems to be getting worse as I get older. There must be others out there that have the same or similar problem and I would like to know if there is a preventative measure I can take to keep from waking up everyday with a headache. I have seen a chiropractor and a neurologist to no avail. The preventative medicines the neurologist wants me to take are of the antidepressant family. A 25 mg tablet of Amitriptyline works wonders for a few weeks and then I seem to build up a tolerance and need two tablets before bed and so on. After two tablets I don't like the side affects and stop taking it. I have heard of people being on blood pressure medications to prevent headaches but have never pursued that avenue. Anyone out there have any suggestions? I would be forever grateful if I could find a way to feel good in the mornings again. This has gone on for too long! Thanks for any help on this subject.
