I wouldn't worry about it too much. I had a kidney stone, and basically all you can do is wait for them to pass. I would suggest that you make sure he is on vicodin or something equivalent, because that will relieve the pain. Also, from now on, make sure that he drinks 8 glasses of water a day because that will prevent him from getting anymore. Less soda would help too. Good luck!
