I have been married for 22 years and my husband found out last year he has hepatitis B & C The doctors said he has proably had it for 20 years or more.As a teenager he experimented with drugs a few times and proably got it then. Anyway, we have been married for 22 years and have 2 children, after they found out he had hepatitis they wanted me to be tested so I was and I do not have either. Since I didn't test positive for either one they said there was no need to test the kids since I would have had to been positive when they were born for them to catch it. I don't know if this really means its not possible to catch it sexually but it hasn't happened to me. Everything you read says it is sexually transmitted but I asked the doctors if we needed to start using condoms or anything and they said no it wasn't really neccessary but if it made me feel better then do it. I guess you really need to sit down and talk to his doctors and then just do what you feel comfortable with. Good Luck
