I have a daughter who will be ten this summer and she is a blessing to us. I wouldn't trade he for the world. As far as your fears, they are normal but they will go away. Her name is Kristin and she has followed most of the things they have down for information. She started walking at around 2 yrs of age. And people were amazed because she was so small. She has more of a petite figure for a dwarf and hopefully she will keep it. She has a wonderful personality and everyone falls inlove with her. She is the only one in our family history that we know of. My best advice is not to hold your child back. Let your child grow and you will be amazed. My biggest fear was that I never liked to be noticed and I knew everwhere we would go that people would notice, but that thought didn't last long and it was selfish. Everyone notices but I don't notice them. Once in a great while someone will catch my eye because they are being rude but I have never confronted anyone. I guess because it is few and far between and like I said. I just don't notice people looking. They are learning also and you have to be patient. Another fear, was the first day of school. It came and she didn't need me. I asked to carry her backpack and she said "I got it mom." She's in fourth grade now. You hang in there and everything will be okay. We have been to LPA meetings too and it's kind of nice. They are all wonderful people. The last time we went was two years ago and I think I was about the only normal sized person there. I didn't feel out of place but for once I was in their world. I got a look at what it was like to be the one different. But, I didn't feel out of place at all.
