As a machinist I am constantly surrounded by high pitched machines, high pressure air hoses, and related high volume noises, and a two year sufferer of tinnitus. I would like to know the symptoms I can expect to experience in the future if these noises I face every day continue to damage my hearing. Preventatve solutions, dietary supplements, mechanical aides, and possible surgical procedures that may slow down the process also, would greatly be appreciated. I could maybe with this knowledge, pass this information, or even generate a support group for other inflicted friends and machinists who suffer from this also. This is a growing concern around the production machinging world with these faster running, louder and higher pitched machines in our work area. More and more machinists are becoming affected by this constant and annoying ringing, and I see this happening to much younger machinists than 25 years ago. Thank you for your time and input.
