I had a diagnosis of shingles several years ago with no sores I was aware of although a neurologist found some small scars on my back which said looked like shingles scars. I had soreness in my side, alternating tingling/burning in my legs and thighs, and blurred vision. No regular doctors were able to diagnose me and just gave me antibiotics which made me sicker. Finally they sent me to a neurologist who diagnosed it as shingles. There was really no effective treatment. and it gradually subsided although I've had occasional flare-ups from time to time since then. Mike
