My Father is 83 yrs. old and has Dementia also. He resides in a nursing home. It sounds as though your Mother's Dementia is pretty well advanced, she may be at the point where she also needs nursing home care instead of assisted living. I see alot of people at the home where my Father resides with Dementia.. I'm sure she has no idea what she is doing, the grief she is causing her Family. Has her Dementia been evaluated recently ? Maybe that's the first step you need to take to get an evaluation to see if she is getting the care she needs. Maybe her Psych Med's need to be increased - she is on Psych Med's, isn't she ? My Father was awful too, before the med's, now he is alot more relaxed & less DEMANDING ! rose
