Hi Just read your message about your little girl. I was diagnosed a year ago with chronic pancreatitis- only because of a high amylase count. Does your daughter get alot of pain across the middle of her back (bra strap area) and up into the shoulder? I am beginning to suspect that I am having an allergic reaction to sulphites which is an additive in foods. They use it on dried fruits, fresh fruits, ketchup, tomato paste, relishes, some syrups, some cookies (ones with coconut in them) and I think there are other foods that do not list it in the ingredients. It seems to bring on stomach pains and also the pancreas pain. This is something for you to look into- it might not be her solution. I am about to see a dietician and go on a very strict diet - introduce foods one at a time to see if I can isolate it. Hope to hear from you. Is your daughter on any medications? Marilyn Eilers
