There is a teriffic website you might find interesting. Go to ARVD.com. I was just "digasnosed" myself last week and am in the process of doing research. I was told the only positive diagnosis can come by a heart biopsy but that I do have many of the criteria including an MRI that shows fatty infilration and abnormal heart structure. I'm interested in finding out all I can.
