I also have RSD that wasn't diagnosed for over a year. PT can be helpful if the therapists know how to deal with RSD. In my situation, all of the wrong things were done because the ER doctor said I had a sprained knee. I was referred to a Pain Clinic & was finally correctly diagnosed with RSD by an anesthesiologist. I wound up having an intrathecal catheter implanted using the drug-morphhine, The surgery was done by a neurologist, but am back seeing aenethesiologist for pump refills, etc. I had no problem getting Social Security Disability,. Apply now as it takes 2 years of total disability before you can receive any benefits. Try to get on Medicaid for the interim. Good Luck!!
