                        I'm feeling guilty that my condition is not yet requiring a feeding tube.  How did yours devolve?  I am 61 have 2 parents with very slow peristalsis, and my father(dead at 86) share a pouch over our larnyx which causes choking, but for me the main problem is recurrent infection from food and my draining sinuses and I am wondering what I can do to deal with it.  I would go to about any lengths, including maybe death, to avoid a food tube so maybe there is no help short of that?  It doesn't sound like you have been offered oter options.  I am a pretty healthy, (dance 2-3 times a week) with a lot of aggravating conditions (osteoporosis, ankylosing spondilitis, hydronephrosis, 3 live cysts, borderline diabetes, but none of them have so far slowed me down a lot.  But every time I get a cold, sinus infection, sore throat I get really sick with an ulcerated throat where the sack above my larnyx is & then I am sick for a week or more and it is getting more frequent.  If you have any suggestions, I'm open.  Good luck in your search.
