Dear Sue, I do not know what truncal ataxia is. I have posted a message about my mother today and wonder if it may be the same thing? Would be happy to share any info I get if we are talking about the same disorder here. My mother is 81 by the way - too old for Freiderichs, but not I think for "cerebellar ataxia". Onset has been v recent - loss of balance, floor feels spongy. I know NOTHING about this though. Any sources? Val
