                        Healthlinkusa    I have been suffering from an eye problem for over a year and there has been  no cure as of yet.  I have worn contact lenses for over 12 years with no problems up until one  year ago.  I had conjunctivitis and after then, I have been unable to wear my  contact lenses.  I have gone to a cornea specialist and was told I had  "bumps" on my eyelids.    We switched the makeup I was using to hypo-allergenic, I tried a myriad of  allergy eye drops, and I am currently taking an antibiotic (Doxycycline) for  almost 3 weeks.  To date, there has been no difference with wearing the  contacts.  Even without the  lenses in, I can feel a "dry eye" sensation.  I have tried the punctal plugs  (the temporary ones) with no success.  The last option I was told was the  "permanent plugs".  I am desperate to get some advice on what other options I  should try or if there is  a reccommended specialist I should go to?    thank you for your help.
