As far as I know, dry eye syndrome does not cause swelling of the eyes such as you describe. If there is any discharge, esp in am, you probably have an infection...either from bacteria or virus or allergy. Are you an allergic person? You can be allergic to dust mites in your bed-look into dust mite free bedding. Be sure you see an ophthalmologist for a second opinion...see 2 if you have to.
