Hi to you fellow sinus sufferers I've suffered from sinus problems, asthma, and allergies for 10 years. I had my 4th sinus surgery this weekend...which was basically performed to correct the last 2 surgeries! I have had a low grade temperature (99.8-101) for over a year, occasional asthma exacerbations, bouts of joint pains (sinus related?), bouts of prednisone, malaise...and I have been on every antibiotics known to man for over a year. The biggest difference for me has been IV antbiotics. I found a company called SINUCARE...and basically, you get an IV placed in your arm which you barely notice is present...and you self-administer IV antibiotics for a period of time. I'm on my 5th week of them. I will likely do a total of 8 weeks. This sounds extreme...but if you've suffered as much as I have...you're ready for ANYTHING. The thought is that if you're not responding to oral antibiotics, that it's time to try a different route into your body. I've found that friends and family for the most part, don't understand the misery, fatigue, and anguish you go through when suffering from sinus problems. It sounds like such a minor deal..."sinus problems"...It's not like a life threatening disease or debilitating disease, people think...AH, but it sure has affected my life and lifestyle. It has drained my energy, caused headaches, caused asthma complications...and somehow, these joint pains I am experiencing, I feel must be related. Has anyone else experienced joint pains related to any of your sinus problems?
