I, too, have MS, and I have a grabbing, twisting, crampy pain on my right side. I've had this on and off since 1986, but wasn't diagnosed with MS until 1996. When it first started, my right leg would get numb when it flared. Now my right leg is just a little weak all the time, but that's not a big deal. The chronic right side pain is! I'm not sure if the pain is caused by my MS or not, and no one else seems to be either! I'll ask my doctor about neurotin. I was on Avonex for a couple of months, but couldn't handle the weakness and depression. I'm getting ready to try Copaxone. I really don't like to take a lot of different medicine, but I guess when you have MS you don't have much of a choice!
