I was injured in the military that was classified as "service connected". Thirty eight years later I lost vision in the right eye due to a macular pucker related to the injury. I have letters from six Ophthalmologists stating basically the same....blunt trauma in the periorbital region can result in a force to the eye, which can lead to various types of eye injury, including retinal detachment and macular pucker. However, the letters do not satisfy the powers to be. They require evidence which demonstrates a plausible relationship between macular pucker, right eye and fracture, left zygomatic arch with associated concussion. How does the "system" allow me to obtain such a letter? Robert.
