I'm amazed! I didn't know there was a name for this problem - and with an IQ of 180+, I'm supposed to be "smart". I'm 47 years old and grew up with "synesthesia" thinking I was just too weird. My life was one long migraine until I was about 19 or 20. You learn to live it though. You will probably discover other sensitivities that you thought every one lived with. For me it was best to keep my differences to myself, but the world is changing. I guess it doesn't sound so crazy anymore. Word of caution: many pain killers can and will wreak havoc with your stomach years from now. Use carefully and DON'T use milk to coat your stomach, low acid food is best.
