Hi,my son was recently diagnosed with PPD/autistic spectrum. He is 28 months. His speech is delayed/ 15 words;however his motor skills are above average. At the dr.'s office iwas asked a brief history of my son's behavior. He was given a puzzle which he put together, a set of blocks, which he stacked. She then gave him a doll and asked him to name body parts:my son coudln't. I'm confused is this correct diagnosis. I told the dr. he likes to line up crayaons and chalk. He has a sister 8 months who he adores. He's very active, he plays with or along side other toddlers, he loves older children and has been known to kiss or hug other babies and toddlers. however my little rugrat will not speak. Are these signs of PPd or should i get a second opinion.
