Thank you for your inputon NPH. Dad has already been evaluated by a neurologist and neurosurgeon and a shunt will not help in his case. That's the problem -- trying to find alternatives to a shunt, and to get some idea of the degenerative process ( in other words, what to expect). I have found a website for the hydrocephalus association. They have several pamphlets and other support info. I'm waiting for some info from them now. I hope your uncle is doing better. God bless you.
