my mom had whipple april 2000. she was in the hospital 5-6 weeks.she lost her appetite. lost weight,she was neaseated most of the time .it had not spread to lymph- nodes. now, jan. 2000, she still does'nt have all of her energy, but she has gained weight, eats very well.she did develope a hernia ,had it repaired, so that has her slowed down some now. if she could get back more energy.but can't complain she's doing so well. it;s a very serious surgery very stressfull.she will need alot of TLC and alot of attention.it's been very stressful and many sacrifices, but well worth it . good ,and god bless.
