I am 46 years old, and just had a tonsilectomy 8 days ago. It is not bad, just drink as often as possible. I ate alot of jello and ice water. I did not have a taste for anything else. I tried eating vanilla ice cream but that caused alot of phlem. I also had an allergic reaction to the medication. But I am happy to get those big things out of my mouth. I wish you luck. It is sore but it is well worth it. I would do it again.
