ouch,i have been on line researching shingles all day.when i came across your symptems it was as if i had written it myself. i am a 43 yr. old female also. i have been suffering with recurrent shingles for several yrs. on my upper right buttocks. the outbreak varies in size from the size of a silver dollar up to the size of a baseball. in the last 2 outbreaks the area affected has moved over approx. 1-2 inches where all other times it was always on the same spot.i do have a scar on the original site. the pain radiates from my backside into my right lower side and down my right leg into my foot. when the onset occurs i typically tend to have a cold, tingly sensation down my leg and a feeling that my nerve or muscle is jumpy. it also seems that i always have pain after the blisters heal. my doctor has diagnosed this of coarse,prescribed 800mg ibuprofin for pain and a prescription to boost my immune system but nothing seems to help.i know my family is as tired of hearing that i dont feel well just as i am sick and tired of feeling ill.i also experience nausea,chills,and fevers when i have them.i have tried to narrow down an event that is triggering these episodes but have been unsuccessful.i do have a stressful fulltime job but have been there for many years before these appeared.i was wondering if your shingles have recurred sense your message,have you found any new info. about recurrences, and/or any treatments to relieve this. by the way, mine seem to breakout anywhere from a timeframe of every six months to as frequent as this time of only 2 weeks apart.i am very frustrated,please reply.thanks!
