This is a rather late response - I've had Opthalmic Migraines for about a decade. I will periodically have flickering vision and "undulating" patterns in one or both eyes. Although I can see through it, it precludes any fine task such as reading. The episodes vary in duration and intensity and may happen daily for awhile and then not again for months. They are not painful. My opthamologist told me that an opthalmic migraine is caused by constricted blood flow to the opthalmic nerve thus garbling the message being sent to the vision center of the brain. He said it's nothing to worry about if I feel no pain. My advice - sit back and enjoy the colors, there's not much more you can do. BK
