My tinnitus became apparent at about the age of 33 or 34 also. One day, my ears started ringing and that was it. I attribute it - the cause to be self inflicted: In my 20's I was involved in drag racing and those dragsters are loud, and to listening to too much loud music over sustained periods of time; I also suffered from migrane headaches and probably overdosed myself with aspirin a few times, or more......
