My daughter, 11 1/2 years old, has been diagnosed with osteomyelitis, but the germ in unknown. The pathologist was unable to culture anything from the tissue and bone samples taken during her biopsy. She also has not had any trauma ever. Has anyone ever heard of a person having osteomyelitis with an unknown germ. The appearance of her bone is described as having a moth eaten appearance and the tissue has some onion skinning.
