Hi, New Mom, I read your story and you sounded scared for your baby. I have a similar story, myself. I am now 35, and my daughter, Angel, is soon to be 14 yrs. old. She had 2 Febrile seizures when she was a baby. She had the first one at 11 months old, but her fever was EXTREMELY HIGH, it was 105+, she was shaking violently, she was turning blue, and she was LIFELESS, and so hot I couldn't touch her. She had to be taken to the Hospital, to see a specialist. He told me she had some kind of Viral Infection in her blood. She stayed in the Hospital for 2 weeks. They told me she had a Febrile Seizure, and that she would probably NEVER have another one. Well, at 22 months old, she had another one, with a fever of 105+ again. I knew what it was this time, and I was already in a Doctor's office with her, and I told them she needed to be transported to see her Speacialist and that I knew what was wrong with her. After those 2 episodes,I was VERY CAUTIOUS about fevers. Like I said earlier, Angel will be 14 years old, April 9th, and she's never had another one.
