My daughter is 9, and after 4 years of hearing she's ADHA, depressed, etc. she has been diagnoised as bi-polar. The expert Doctor of Child Disorders, now has her on Wellbutrin as an anti-depressant, and now Respidol as a mood stablizer. I have read where depressants can be wrong for bi-polar and expressed concern about this. I have decided to only give her the respidol. The other seems to bring mood swings more freguent. It is so hard to know what to do. The more questions I ask the medical people, either family doctor or the child physcology doctors at Reily, the more that doesn't seem to be know especially for children. We have tried many anti-depressants that don't work. Hopefully a mood stabilizer will. I can't seem to find much on effects of medicine on growth either. I would be glad to hear from you on your progress. Sincerely, Debbie
