My husband has been hospitalised twice (18 months apart) with this. After the second dose the medical team said he was a diabetic. He said it wasn't possible and that all of the sugar readings they did while he was in hospital were low. A month after release they did a glucose tolerance test (the only true indicator) and yes he is a diabetic. Since then we have been watching his sugar levels and (touch wood) he has been clear for over 2 years now. Good Luck
