I am a 27 yr. old female and the following is what's been happening: - sometimes (over the past 5 years), just as I'm about to fall asleep, it feels like my heart stops for a second. My immediate reaction is to sit up quickly. - For the last 2 years, maybe about 8 times a year my heart rate picks up. I can't say I get short of breath, but I need to take deep breaths at times. - About a month ago, I had a Halter Monitor on for 24 hrs. But I had no symptoms while wearing it. - During the past 3 weeks, I notice more of a discomfort rather than a pain, in my chest in the heart area. Again, I need to take deep breaths at times. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?
