Well, My mother is borderline hypothyrodism and I am hypothyrodism. I had to be ambulanced to the hospital(fainting)a week before my period. I have not taken medication, but since the treatment for hypothyrodism is hormone replacement, it seems that the doctor would look into her cycle more closely since hormone levels are usually highest at and after ovulation. My mother has had rashes and has been hospitalized. She does have lupus (skin disorder). Lupus is hard to diagnose and contributes to hypothyrodism.
