My Mother, who is 56, and very active, had bone spurs in her neck. The Doctor said to remove the spurs and replace them with plugs is a very common procedure, and normally you go home the day after surgery. 3 surgeries later, she is paraplegic and in ICU at a rehabilitation hospital. According to her medical records, the Doctor put the plugs "in too far, causing a lesion...thus causing her spinal cord to go into a stroke". I will be my Mothers caregiver when she is released from the hospital and I would like any information or advice anyone could give on this injury. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Kimberly
