Tabitha, HPV is really, really common. There are hundreds of strains of these viruses. I just had the freezing done a couple of days ago and for the most part it was painless. The worst part was the cramping for about 12 hours afterword. I would suggest that you talk with your Dr. about a painkiller for the first 12 hours. Also there is this nasty watery discharge. It feels like like I'm peeing my pants! While the HPV is the cause of the abnormal cells and you do have HPV, you're not the only one. Most sexually active women do have it. Don't be afraid to grill your dr. with all your questions. I don't think that they realize just how little information is out there for women. After all, YOU are paying THEM. Good luck! Lindy
