I just had my tonsils and adnoids removed at 24 years old. It wasn't fun, it was very painful. Everyone I have talked to says that it is a much easier and safer procedure to have done as a child. I know you worry about putting your child through surgery, I would to, but it might be in his best interest to get it done while he is still young.
