i have not heard of the mp6 drug, but am suprised that you have been taking asocol,i have colitis and so does my daughter and she was diagnosed 2 months ago as well. we are on sulfasalazine and are both in recession now.you should be in recession already is what i am worried about.i only had to take the prednisone for 2 wks after i got out of the hospital and i was near death when i went in.if you are having awful side effects i would ask to switch to the sulfasalazine.my sister n law took asocol and had no luck with it and now is on the sulfa and is doing fine.i know this is a terrible thing to go thru and i feel for you and your family. make sure you contact the CCFA as well for info on colitis if you haven't already.
