I'm 40 and was diagnosed with ADD about a year ago. The docs put me on Adderall and it helps me focus tremendously. I was concerned about the addiction factor, since it is a stimulant, but the docs assured me that if I was not ADD, the adderall would not help me the way it is. They check my vitals every 3 months, and I've been fine. I wonder, though, if there is a test that the docs do to test for ADD, because my doctor (psychiatrist) based his diagnosis on certain symptoms I was having (inability to concentrate, mostly).
