I would like to know if there is any reason for me to worry about my son still having febrile seizures at age 9 1/2. His first seizure was in infancy and he has had 4 in his life (the last one just before last Christmas). I used to think he spiked fevers quickly but the most recent seizure was only at 100 degrees. Every seizure has been grand and I am unsure about petit seizures because it's so hard to tell what I'm watching for. He does strange things with his eyes sometimes but I think he's fully aware of his surroundings at the time. I feel like I'm always watching for something but not knowing what. His neurologist has mentioned Tourrettes Syndrome associated with some of his body movements. How do I know when epilepsy is a real possibility and how old can a child be with febrile seizures? Any information would be helpful.
