I am 28 and was just diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos - Type III. This diagnosis comes after a life time of knee surgeries and other miscellaneous unexplained medical oddities. I was seeking a diagnosis in order to prevent my 8 year old daughter from the same pain I had. (I have chronic dislocating knees, over 300 dislocations and my daughter has begun dislocating her knee). Anyway, the geneticist I saw said I had a 50-50 chance of passing this on to any other children I would have. She also said they could test the protein in my body against the protein of a fetus to see if it would be passed on. I thought this was awesome! I wish I knew along time ago. Lori
