My 2 year old son is suffering from the same symtoms. In addition also cannot breathe trough his nose, so he is not sleeping. He has always been diagnosed for this as bronchitis, caused by allergies. He now has a new dr. who is saying it is his adnoids causing all these problems, and a week later they enflamed and caused visible lumps about a 1/4 inch out of his skin. We will be making the trip to the ear, nose and throat specialist in March. And the dr. suspects they will remove his adnoids next year sometime. I had also had all these problems as a child and they removed mine when I was five years old. I have had no problems with any of the symptoms since then. It is stressful trying to decide which dr. to listen to.
