Hello, I have a Ganglion cyst on the inside of my right wrist below my thumb. It appeared last year, I went to an orthopedic surgeon and he drained it with a needle. It then reappeared two weeks later, but I didn't have any pain, so I just lived with it. Then this past February, the pain came back and they cyst got larger so I went back to the orthopedic doc. and he suggested surgery. So I had the cyst surgically removed at the end of February. I was concerned about a bump in the same spot when they took the stitches out and the doc. said not to worry that it was probably just post-operative swelling. My follow-up appointment was last week and the doc seems to think that the cyst has returned. It is larger now than when he removed it. He wants to give it a few more weeks to see if it might just be scar tissue but I think it has returned and is possibly worse than before. It is fairly bothersome because I work on a computer and it is on my dominant right hand. Has anyone had these cysts return so quickly after surgery?
