After my experiences last year, I would strongly urge you to consult with a neurologist that specializes in brain tumors before believing that this cyst is nothing to worry about. Last year, my doctor thought that I might have had a stroke so he sent me to the hospital where they did a cat scan. They discovered that there was something on the left side of my brain. After 2 MRI's and brain surgery, that something turned out to be a tumor. After the tumor was analyzed, the doctors discovered that it was a tumor with cysts within it. (Sort of like a pomagranete - solid with pockets of cysts within it). The lab in my hospital couldn't figure out what kind of tumor I had and eventually, the tumor had to be sent to a special lab in France (yes, France. I told the neurosurgeon that if something had to go to France, they should have sent me and left the tumor here) to be analyzed. The doctors told me that they didn't know why the tumor developed - I may have had it from birth. Also, my doctor said that it may have started out as a cyst and multiplied to the point where it became a tumor. Fortunately, it was slow growing and it was discovered before I suffered severe and long lasting neurological side effects.
