I too have been daignosed with AVN or osteonecrosis of the hip ( both of mine) I am trying to get insurance to get the surgury down and from what I have heard is that after the recover the total hip replacement work great I hope I could have the surgury sooner than later .. My problem is the lack of compassion of the pain managment doctors who dont try to make your life worth living untill you can get surgury done and get on with your life how are they treating you ???
