Hello fellow CTS patients. My sympathies go out to you. I had no clue how depilitating and frustrating something like this could be. I have been an exercise fanatic for about 4 - 5 yrs now. I never would have thought it when I was younger and it's done soooo much for my self-esteem and appearance. I look better at 37 than I did at 20! Now I've got to quit - at least upper body lifting! It really sucks because I was really liking what I was accomplishing in my upper body muscles! I even though about continuing to do it anyway but it just causes to much pain in my hands, especially at night. I do notice a little diffence since I quit. My concern is that it's just not the CTS but I'm also having swelling, tingling when touched and a little pain in my ankles and some stomach bloating (some weight gain for no reason only in my stomach) . I've never had weight gain in my stomach like this. I do about 45 minutes of cardio 5 days a week, lower body weight lifting 2 a week and eat a low fat diet. I'm wondering if this is all connected. Blood tests reveled nothing. RA, hypothyroid, and diabetes all negative. That's good news but it means I still don't know what's going on with my body! If anyone has any ideas or thoughts let me know please.
