I have just been diagnosed with cellulitis. It is localized to my buttocks and is very painful. I have had it for 3 weeks now. I have been doing a lot of research online and discovered alot of people get it on their legs and stuff. Mine is just a localized lesion and has an open sore. The Dr. has me on Cipro, Darvocet (for the pain), and warm soaks (sitz baths)..I go back to see him in 2 weeks. I have chosen to take several days off of work because the pain in unbearable and I am afraid the infection will get worse. Has anyone experienced this type of cellulitis. Any comments or advise.
