Thanks Dr. Bennet for your reply. My father's doctor says the cataract surgery will not improve his central vision, as it is all gone. But evidently the cataract must be large enough that it is starting to interfer with his peripheal vision. I was just concerned about complications of the macula, etc. He is 93 years old. Lou
