My husband suffered a ruptured anuerysm in the basilar artery. When he was stable they inserted coils as he would not have survived the clipping. He spent two weeks in the hospital. He didn't know who I was or many other people in his family. Slowly his memory returned. He has problems with concentration, balance,No short term memory, anxiety and siezures. He did return to work for 10 months but it was difficult. He has been home for almost a year and has actually gotten worse. Cognative therapy has been recommended but it should have been done right away. It has been two years since the rupture and he goes in for a cerebral angiogram next week to check for residual bleeding. Although all cases are different I wanted to share our story with you.My prayers to you and your family.
