I am a 31 yr.old female. I have had this condition for about 14 yr.s. Everytime I went to a doctor, they gave me a antibiotic and lanced the abcesses. They continued to return and the antibiotics never worked. I have been opening them my self, because they are coming so often. It is extremely painful and I don't know how much more I can take. I have it on the inside of my legs, in the crease between the legs and the pubic area. I have terrible scarring and it is very embarrassing. I can't remember the last time I could wear a bathing suit. Just yesterday I went to a doctor that finally told me what this awful disease is, after all this time. I feel if any of the other doctors would have recognized it earlier, it would not have advanced so far. He said I will have to have surgery and skin graphs. He also said this will be very painful. I am terrified at the thought of scarring and reacurrences. I am in chronic pain from this condition and I just don't know how much more I can take. I can't even have a normal sex life, due to the area its in. I know that sounds awful, but its the truth. Just want it to magically disapear. I would appreciate any and all advise on this disorder.
